BMW will hold the "BMW Supplier Ningbo Meeting" to help domestic Chinese auto parts enterprises develop

SHANGHAI -- "Domestic Chinese auto parts enterprises in operation philosophy, cost and technology enjoy more features and advantages in overall comparison," Mr. Zhang Yun of BMW Group Senior Purchasing Manager stated. Mr. Zhang Yun's introduction and statement at "AUTO1688.COM - BMW Supplier Suzhou Meeting" on Sept.11, 2008 definitely indicated BMW's future purchasing strategy in the Chinese market. It has made considerably good effect on the auto parts industry, and it not only earned attentions from a lot of industry media and industry professionals, but fetched 30 plus domestic outstanding auto parts enterprises to participate in the meeting. Recently, some relevant heads of the BMW Group disclosed that BMW was satisfied with the results of the last "BMW Supplier Suzhou Meeting", and nearly half of the good participating enterprises have entered the second round of the BMW supplier pre-selection stage, BMW will arrange further business talks and visits with them as soon as possible.

"The difference from the last Ningbo visit and Suzhou meeting is that this meeting will focus on purchasing interior parts, exterior parts, electrical and electronic products. The latest procurements mainly include 60 plus kinds of products, such as wiring harness, cable, sensors, switches, light, electric appliances, glass, interior & exterior components, air-conditioning systems, chassis, brake parts; while the long-term procurements consist of engine parts, casting parts, forging parts, covering 20 plus types of products," BMW Group Purchasing Manager said to reporters. The Ningbo meeting attracted attentions of the auto parts enterprises in Ningbo and its surrounding areas as soon as it was released. The principal of one auto parts enterprise in Cixi said, "It was pity that our corporation had no chance to participate in the Suzhou meeting because we failed to take a timely registration; this time we registered for participation in the Ningbo meeting as soon as we heard that Auto1688.com will hold the Ningbo meeting for BMW. We look forward to talking with BMW, and expect to reach an agreement on our corporation's wiring harness business with BMW."
